iHub Innovation Hub of Utah ("iHub," "we," "us") is a nonprofit organization based in Provo, Utah. We help founders build companies through free workspace, mentorship, workshops, events, and funding access. Transparency is central to how we operate, and that includes how we handle your information.
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to ihubutah.org, our programs, our events, and our physical space.
Information you give us. We collect information you provide directly, such as when you:
- Fill out a contact, membership, or program application form (name, email, phone, company name, business details)
- Register for an event, workshop, or pitch day
- Sign up for our newsletter or updates
- Apply to be a mentor or volunteer
- Make a donation (name, email, mailing address, donation amount)

Donation and payment information. Donations and payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full credit card numbers on our systems. We keep records of donation amounts and donor contact information for receipts, acknowledgment, and tax reporting purposes.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring links, using cookies and similar technologies.
Photos, video, and recordings. iHub regularly photographs and records its space, events, and programming. If you attend an event or use our space, you may appear in photos or video.
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate our programs, including memberships, mentorship, workshops, and funding programs
- Process event registrations and communicate event details
- Process donations, send receipts, and acknowledge donors
- Send newsletters, event invitations, and updates about iHub (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Respond to questions and requests
- Improve our website, programs, and communications
- Promote iHub's mission through marketing materials, social media, our website, and publications such as our annual impact report
- Comply with legal, tax, and reporting obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:
Service providers. We use trusted third-party tools to run our operations, such as email platforms, payment processors, website analytics, form and database software, and event registration tools. These providers may process your information on our behalf and are expected to protect it.
Donor recognition. As part of our commitment to transparency, we may publicly recognize donors by name in materials such as our impact report, website, or event signage. If you prefer your gift to remain anonymous, tell us and we will honor that request.
Program storytelling. With permission, we may feature founders, mentors, and member companies in our marketing, reports, and media.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of iHub, our community, or others.
Organizational changes. If iHub merges with or transfers its operations to another nonprofit entity, information may be transferred as part of that change.
Our events and space are frequently photographed and filmed for promotional and reporting purposes. By attending an iHub event or using the iHub space, you consent to being photographed or recorded, and to iHub's use of that media in its communications. If you have concerns about a specific photo or video, contact us and we will work with you in good faith to address it.
Our website uses cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some site features may not work as intended.
If you receive our newsletter or marketing emails, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us. We may still send transactional messages, such as donation receipts or event confirmations.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, tax, and reporting requirements for nonprofits. Donation records are retained as required by law.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website and programs are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
